Tata Indicom Sungil CDMA Modem on Mac OS X.5

Procedure to connect with Sungil SXC – 1080 USB CDMA modem using Mac OS 10.5
(Data Connectivity only)

I have done it on Tata Indicom network and have a Macbook Pro. It should also work well on a Macbook.

Your SIM card must be pre-activated on windows or a CDMA phone. (Important update.. Feb 2009. Recently Tata Indicom has asked its customer to upgrade the SIM card. Please take your SIM card to a Tata Indicom outlet and ask them to insert it in a Tata Mobile and dial *228 from it. Follow the instructions that you hear on that call)

Boot your Mac
Insert Sungil SXC – 1080 in the USB port

Open System Preferences
Click on Network

A dialog box will open up. Click OK!

Go to Location.
Choose Edit Locations..

Click on +
Say Sungil SXC - 1080 USB CDMA

Hit Done

On the left Menu, select Qualcomm CDMA Technologies MSM

Choose Configuration: Add Configuration

Create a new Configuration called: Say Tata Indicom CDMA

Feel free to drop me a line on trueimages@gmail.com if you still have problems and I shall try to respond as soon as I can. The formula given above is for use of Mac Community, and should work well.

This is only a goodwill effort for the Mac Community and I bear no responsibility if this does not work for any reason.
